Danaher earnings showed stronger revenue, profit and cash generation in the third quarter of 2026. The life-sciences company also raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance after reporting improved demand across its end markets.
Danaher Earnings Show Broader Revenue Growth
Danaher released its third-quarter results on October 21, 2026. Core revenue increased 3%, while core revenue excluding respiratory testing rose 5.5%. Operating cash flow reached $1.89 billion, and non-GAAP free cash flow increased 19% to $1.63 billion.
Diagnostics produced the fastest reported sales growth at 17%, partly reflecting acquisition and divestiture effects. Life Sciences sales increased 4%, while Biotechnology sales rose 0.5%. Core growth was 5% in Biotechnology, 4.5% in Life Sciences and 0.5% in Diagnostics.

Danaher Earnings Support Higher 2026 Guidance
For the fourth quarter, Danaher expects core revenue excluding respiratory testing to grow 4% to 5%. Respiratory revenue should create an approximately 150-basis-point headwind, leaving total core growth near 3%.
The outlook places Danaher alongside other medical-technology companies reporting resilient demand. Thermo Fisher’s latest results showed 9% revenue growth, while Abbott reported a 14.5% sales increase.
Danaher’s growth strategy also increasingly combines laboratory automation and artificial intelligence. That trend is visible in wider research tooling, including OpenAI’s Rosalind plan for academic laboratories. Investors will now watch whether Danaher can sustain mid-single-digit underlying growth as respiratory-testing comparisons remain difficult.
