Thermo Fisher revenue rose 9% to $12.14 billion in the third quarter of 2026 as organic growth reached 6%. The life-sciences tools company reported the results on October 21 for the quarter ended September 26.
Thermo Fisher Revenue and Margin Growth
GAAP operating income increased 17% to $2.26 billion, lifting the GAAP operating margin to 18.6% from 17.4%. On an adjusted basis, operating income reached $2.97 billion. The combination of 6% organic revenue growth and wider margins points to operating leverage across the company’s laboratory, diagnostics and biopharma businesses.
The quarter adds to a busy reporting season for health-care companies. Recent comparisons include Intuitive Surgical’s procedure growth and Abbott’s sales and guidance update.
Innovation and the 2026 Outlook
Thermo Fisher highlighted new mass-spectrometry, electron-detection and sequencing products, plus an AI-automation center in South Korea. Management said updated 2026 guidance would be provided on its October 21 earnings call, so the release itself did not state a revised range. Investors will watch whether product launches and biopharma demand can sustain the current margin trajectory.
