Coinbase reported stronger platform and product metrics for the third quarter, including $719 million in net income and $333 million in adjusted EBITDA. The company released the results on Oct. 29 for the quarter that ended Sept. 30, separating the reporting date from the operating period.
Quarterly profit and platform scale
Adjusted net income was $78 million, while adjusted EBITDA rose 60% from the previous quarter to $333 million. Coinbase said assets on its platform represented 12.5% of total crypto market capitalization, returning to a peak level.
Trading share and product growth
Coinbase said its share of crypto trading volume reached 10.7% across spot and derivatives, marking a fourth consecutive quarter of gains. Average USDC held in Coinbase products reached $22 billion, up 49% from a year earlier and the fourteenth consecutive quarterly record.
Prediction markets surpassed a $200 million annualized revenue rate, according to the company. Paid Coinbase One subscribers also reached a record and increased 24% from a year earlier, showing growth beyond transaction fees.
What investors should watch next
The key tests are whether market-share gains persist, subscription growth translates into steadier revenue and the prediction-market run rate holds through changing crypto volumes.
