Gorman-Rupp released third-quarter 2026 results on October 23 for the quarter ended September 30. Gorman-Rupp earnings showed record sales, wider margins and net income that more than doubled from a year earlier.
Gorman-Rupp Earnings Set Sales Record
Net sales increased from $172.8 million as volume growth and first-quarter price increases supported every end market. Agriculture sales rose by $4.7 million, construction gained $3.5 million and industrial sales increased by $3.4 million.
The results came from Gorman-Rupp’s October 23 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The broad industrial demand contrasts with recent company-specific manufacturing updates, including Kaiser Aluminum’s conversion-revenue report.
Gorman-Rupp Earnings Show Margin Expansion
Gross margin increased 420 basis points to 33.4%, helped by operating leverage and the absence of prior-year facility optimization costs. Operating income rose to $33.9 million from $21.5 million as selling and administrative costs consumed a smaller share of sales.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 29.4% to $41.8 million and represented 21.6% of sales. The margin improvement follows other industrial earnings reports, including Balchem’s sales and earnings update.
Debt Falls as Cash Flow Rises
Nine-month operating cash flow increased to $114.9 million from $91.2 million. Gorman-Rupp used part of that cash generation to reduce total debt by $58 million through September.
Management said incoming orders and backlog remained healthy entering the fourth quarter. Industrial demand also depends on infrastructure investment and fuel-market conditions, themes covered in Fusion Market News’ report on the proposed U.S. refinery funding program.
