P&G earnings preview attention is shifting to consumer volumes and margins ahead of fiscal first-quarter results. Procter & Gamble will discuss the quarter on Thursday, Oct. 22, after ending fiscal 2026 with modest organic sales growth and weaker quarterly profitability.
P&G earnings date and event details
P&G announced on Sept. 24 that its fiscal first-quarter webcast will begin at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 22. Chairman and CEO Shailesh Jejurikar and CFO Andre Schulten will discuss the results, according to the company’s official event notice.
The report will add another consumer-demand signal after Coca-Cola’s scheduled update. Fusion Market News recently detailed the Coca-Cola volume and pricing benchmarks and the latest U.S. industrial production data.
P&G earnings preview benchmark: category demand
P&G reported $21.2 billion in fiscal fourth-quarter net sales, up 2% from a year earlier. Organic sales were unchanged, diluted EPS fell 15% to $1.26 and core EPS declined 3% to $1.43, according to the company’s July 29 results.

Beauty was the strongest segment with 4% organic sales growth. Grooming and Fabric & Home Care were flat, while Health Care declined 1% and Baby, Feminine & Family Care fell 2%.
What investors should watch
Volume is the first test because fiscal fourth-quarter growth came from foreign exchange and rounding rather than organic demand. Investors should compare category trends with P&G’s 1%–3% full-year organic sales target and listen for changes in pricing or promotion.
Margins are equally important. P&G expects roughly $1 billion in after-tax pressure from raw materials, energy and transportation during fiscal 2027. Management’s productivity savings and restructuring progress will show how much of that cost can be absorbed. The inflation backdrop also connects with Fusion Market News’ analysis of government bonds and inflation risk.
