Forum Energy earnings improved in the third quarter as stronger drilling demand lifted revenue, margins and cash generation. Forum Energy Technologies reported $237 million in revenue and $36 million in adjusted EBITDA for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.

The Houston-based oilfield equipment company released the results on October 29. Its earnings call followed on October 30, separating the reporting date from the investor event.

Forum Energy Earnings Strengthen 2026 Outlook

Management raised its 2026 revenue range to $900 million to $920 million. It also lifted the adjusted EBITDA range to $123 million to $129 million. Fourth-quarter revenue is expected between $230 million and $250 million.

Orders and Cash Flow Support the Guidance

Orders totaled $244 million, creating a 103% book-to-bill ratio. A ratio above 100% means new orders exceeded revenue recognized during the quarter, providing support for future activity.

Operating cash flow reached $32 million, while free cash flow totaled $30 million. Net leverage stood at 0.9 times adjusted EBITDA, giving the company more flexibility as it manages working capital and demand cycles.

Drilling and Completions revenue increased 6% sequentially to $147 million. Segment adjusted EBITDA rose 28% to $21 million. Artificial Lift and Downhole revenue increased 3% to $90 million.

The results follow other industrial earnings updates from Trane Technologies and Old Dominion Freight Line, where pricing and demand also shaped quarterly performance.

What Investors Should Watch Next

The main test is whether order growth converts into fourth-quarter revenue without weakening margins. Investors will also watch the pace of customer spending across drilling, completion and artificial-lift markets.

Forum Energy’s guidance suggests management expects the stronger third-quarter trend to continue. However, oilfield activity remains exposed to commodity prices, customer budgets and project timing.
