Binance bStocks expanded into four additional margin-collateral assets on October 14, 2026. The exchange added tokenized instruments tied to MongoDB, BlackBerry, Penguin Solutions and the ProShares Ultra VIX Short-Term Futures ETF.
Binance bStocks Add Four Collateral Assets
Binance’s October 14 announcement said the four tokens became eligible collateral at 12:00 UTC. The exchange also enabled corresponding margin-trading pairs through Cross Margin, Portfolio Margin and Portfolio Margin Pro.
The update extends tokenized-market products beyond spot holding. Binance’s verified news channel separately said bStocks assets under management had exceeded $888 million and that 95 stock tokens were supported as collateral. The rollout follows broader experimentation with outcome-based products, including Cboe’s SEC-approved binary KPI options.
How Binance bStocks Collateral Works
Eligible users can pledge supported bStocks against margin positions, subject to the exchange’s collateral methodology and risk controls. Regular, VIP 1 and VIP 2 users must complete a suitability questionnaire, and the feature is unavailable in restricted regions.
The exchange said users cannot borrow the four newly added tokens. Margin values can also differ from underlying market prices because collateral haircuts, liquidity and platform rules affect usable value. These risks differ from payment-focused token infrastructure such as Tether’s investment in EFY Finance.
Ownership and Market Risks
bStocks are certificates representing financial instruments and do not provide direct ownership of the referenced company shares. Binance said the products are offered under an approved prospectus in Abu Dhabi Global Market and only to eligible users in permitted jurisdictions.
Using volatile securities as collateral can amplify losses when prices fall or margin requirements change. Users should assess liquidation rules, valuation methods and trading-hour differences before taking leveraged positions. The structure also differs from regulated stablecoin projects such as the Qivalis euro token authorized in the Netherlands.
