Randstad reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of €6.115 billion on October 21, up 5% year over year as organic growth reached 3.9%. The staffing group said activity improved through the quarter and strengthened further in early October.
Randstad Revenue Growth Broadens Across Markets
Randstad’s October 21 results showed North American revenue rising 9% organically to €1.196 billion. Germany grew 5%, the Netherlands gained 3%, Italy increased 7% and Iberia advanced 8%.
Q3 2026 organic revenue change
North America: +9%
Iberia: +8%
Germany: +5%
France: -3%
France remained a weak spot, while Belgium and Luxembourg declined 5%. The regional mix suggests hiring demand is recovering unevenly rather than through a synchronized global rebound.
Profit Growth Outpaces Sales
Underlying EBITA rose 11% to €211 million from €191 million, lifting the margin to 3.5% from 3.3%. Operating profit increased to €177 million from €136 million, and net income rose to €110 million from €83 million.
The improvement contrasts with the margin pressure reported by Synchrony and complements the positive cash inflection in Atos’ turnaround. Investors should still distinguish Randstad’s underlying measures from its statutory results.
Early October Trends Support Q4
Randstad said volumes improved in early October. It expects fourth-quarter gross margin to remain broadly stable sequentially, while operating expenses should rise slightly.
Operational staffing generated €4.196 billion and grew 6% organically, while professional and digital revenue declined 1% and 2%. That divergence will shape whether the current recovery reaches higher-margin services, similar to the earnings mix questions affecting Dime Bank’s latest quarter.
