SS&C Technologies reported third-quarter revenue of $1.69 billion, up 7.8% from a year earlier. Adjusted earnings rose faster as operating leverage and organic growth supported margins.

SS&C’s Third-Quarter Numbers

SS&C’s October 22 earnings release showed GAAP revenue of $1.690 billion, compared with $1.568 billion a year earlier. GAAP operating income rose 11.9% to $409.3 million.

GAAP diluted EPS remained $0.83, while adjusted diluted EPS increased to $1.78. Adjusted operating income reached $657.6 million, up 9.1% year over year.

Adjusted EBITDA climbed 9.0% to $674.8 million. Its margin rose to 39.9% from 39.5%, indicating modest profitability improvement.

Cash Flow and Margin Signals

Operating cash flow reached $1.216 billion for the first nine months, up 10.4%. That growth gives the company room to manage acquisitions, debt and shareholder returns.

Investors should separate GAAP and adjusted figures when evaluating the quarter. The margin expansion is useful, but adjusted metrics exclude costs that remain economically relevant.

SS&C’s results offer another read on enterprise financial software demand. They complement recent developments in automated financial platforms and large-cap technology earnings.

What Investors Should Watch

The next test is whether 5.2% adjusted organic growth can hold as clients manage technology budgets. Sustained organic growth would reduce reliance on acquisitions for expansion.

Margin performance also matters because revenue grew more slowly than adjusted EPS. Further operating leverage could support earnings even if top-line growth stays moderate.

Technology investors are also tracking infrastructure demand across the sector. Western Digital’s latest results provide a separate view of data-storage spending.
