Qualcomm earnings arrive after the U.S. market closes on November 4, with investors watching handset demand, automotive growth and the company’s AI data-center strategy. Qualcomm will hold its conference call at 1:45 p.m. PT, according to an official notice published October 22.
The earnings event is November 4, while the scheduling notice was issued nearly two weeks earlier. Fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year figures were not available when this preview was prepared.
Qualcomm Earnings Test Handset Recovery
Qualcomm’s official investor notice says the company will publish results after the November 4 close and furnish them to the SEC on Form 8-K. The release will cover the fiscal fourth quarter ended September 27 and the full 2026 fiscal year.
Handset revenue is the main near-term pressure point. Qualcomm reported $5.09 billion of handset revenue in the fiscal third quarter, down 20% from a year earlier, as total quarterly revenue fell 4% to $9.9 billion.
Automotive and IoT Growth Matter
The third-quarter release showed automotive revenue of $1.59 billion, up 61% year over year. Internet-of-things revenue increased 9% to $1.83 billion, helping offset weaker handset sales.
Investors will look for evidence that diversification remained durable through the September quarter. The trend fits a wider shift in semiconductor supply chains serving AI infrastructure and connected devices.
AI Data-Center Strategy Adds Pressure
Qualcomm has expanded beyond mobile processors through data-center and agentic-AI initiatives. Its September collaboration with Amazon targets next-generation AI infrastructure, raising expectations for management to provide timelines, design progress and financial context.
Comparable chipmakers have also made data-center demand central to investor expectations. Fusion Market News previously examined AMD’s AI and data-center earnings drivers and advanced chip-stacking research from IBM and Siemens.
The fourth-quarter release will show whether automotive and IoT growth can reduce Qualcomm’s dependence on handset cycles. No new chart is included because the fiscal fourth-quarter dataset had not been published when this article was prepared.
