Rubrik expanded Project Hourglass on October 9, adding AHEAD, Trace3 and World Wide Technology to an alliance that will distribute its Code Guardian service alongside Rubrik Agent Cloud. The move gives the data-security company a broader partner route into enterprises that are adopting AI-assisted software development.
Key Insights
- Rubrik added AHEAD, Trace3 and WWT to Project Hourglass, bringing the alliance to nine named service and technology partners.
- Code Guardian analyzes an air-gapped copy of a customer’s repository with Anthropic’s Claude Mythos 5 rather than operating on live production code.
- The product remains in private preview, making general availability and evidence from customer deployments the next tests for the expanded alliance.
Rubrik Project Hourglass Adds Three Partners
The company announcement, dated October 9 at Rubrik’s GSI Summit in Goa, expands a program introduced in June. AHEAD, Trace3 and WWT join Cognizant, Deloitte, LTM, HCLTech, NTT DATA and Wipro.
Project Hourglass initially focused on deploying Rubrik Agent Cloud for Anthropic’s Claude Code. The latest expansion adds Code Guardian to the services that participating partners can take to clients, along with technical certification and engineering support from Rubrik.
Air-Gapped Testing Targets Exploitable Attack Chains
Rubrik says Code Guardian runs Claude Mythos 5 through a specialized security harness against a cloned, air-gapped repository. The design aims to let the model reason across files, services, identity roles and cloud boundaries without touching the live codebase or production systems.
The company’s September product announcement says the service validates findings for exploitability and can push confirmed issues into Jira or GitHub workflows. Those are vendor claims, and Rubrik states that Code Guardian is still offered “as is” in private preview, with features and availability not guaranteed.
Partner Reach Does Not Remove Execution Risk
The expansion arrives as enterprise software vendors push AI beyond isolated pilots. Fusion Market News has also examined Microsoft and Nvidia’s local-AI hardware strategy, IBM and SAP’s cloud ERP push, and HubSpot’s AI-driven workforce restructuring.
For Rubrik, more partners can widen sales coverage and implementation capacity, but the announcement does not disclose customer commitments, pricing or a general-availability date. The next observable catalyst will be evidence of design-partner deployments or a firm launch timetable for Code Guardian.
